Ballet Wellness Program

We at Los Gatos Ballet believe that ballet is just one element of a dancers overall career. Through a well-rounded organic approach to ballet, we have built a wellness program that balances each students training. Included in this wellness program is the Franklin Methode, Pilates, and classical ballet education.

Los Gatos Ballet is proud to offer our students The Franklin Methode movement education. Through The Franklin Methode, you will see improved biomechanics and ease of movement, thus extending the life of your dance career. In following the whole body approach to dancing, we incorporate not only the highly respected Franklin Methode but also Pilates into each dancers repertoire. The Pilates method of body conditioning strengthens and tones muscles, improves posture, provides flexibility and balance, unites body and mind, and creates a more streamlined shape. It is a tried-and-true formula for improving endurance and stamina. It is for these reasons, among other, that ballet dancers benefit most from adding Pilates training to their practice. Each dancer at Los Gatos Ballet has the opportunity to train at our high-end Pilates equipment studio, and Pilates exercises are also taught in the classes.
